There are only a couple of PPV movie channels on DirecTV support 1080p. Majority of the channels either have 720p or 1080i. Changing Resolution Settings. The difference between 1080i and 1080p is the type of scanning technology they use. Both have the same resolutions i.e. 1080p uses progressive scan and 1080i uses interlaced scan. Why would anyone pay for this when they can just pay for all those streaming services separately and not deal with your contract bs? Dumb move.

  Man @DIRECTV you really need to improve your customer service. 22 minutes on hold, then transferred and another 37 minutes on hold. First rep spoke barely any English, 2nd rep was worse than her. I'm paying for what??

  Had a terrible experience with @DIRECTV helpline last night. Spoke to three different people, the last person tried to **** me off to a dept that was closed. Called this morning and the person that helped (first persons I talked to) help resolve the issue.
